An exceptional and finely decorated late 17th-century Dutch Delft tin-glazed earthenware plate, dating to circa 1690.

This piece perfectly captures the golden age of Delftware production, showcasing a beautiful chinoiserie design heavily inspired by Chinese export porcelain.
The center of the plate features a bird perched on a blossoming floral branch, surrounded by stylized rockwork and vibrant foliage.
The border decorated with floral bouquets and insects.

Given the exceptional quality of the glaze and the painterly freedom of the brushwork, this plate can be confidently attributed to one of the leading Delft factories of the period.

Good antique condition; some usual wear and chipping to the rim, consistent with age and material.
