Delft – Blue and White Charger with Fortuna – mid 18th century

A rare tin-glazed earthenware charger from Delft, hand-painted in cobalt blue. The central motif depicts a nude Venus, allegorical of Dame Fortuna, poised with one foot upon a globe and holding a flying banderole. The scene is framed by sponged trees, a fence, and a distant windmill, showcasing a delicate interplay of landscape and mythological narrative.

Good condition according to age. Some wear to the rim.
