ABOUT THIS ITEM

Mid 18th century Delftware plates with scalloped rim. At the center is a cluster of scrolling tendrils, with floral and leaf motifs framed by cartouches.

The colour on these plates is rather rare; instead of the usual cobalt blue, these are painted in a soft mangase, tending towards grey. Never seen this shade before in this decor.
