Excellent pair of mid-18th-century Delftware plates featuring a rare geometric decoration of leaves and scrolls, painted in cobalt blue and iron-red. The borders display foliage scrolls, flowers, and shell motifs.

Marked IVL for Johannes and Margaretha van Lockhorst-van der Gucht, owners of the De Klaauw factory from 1713 to 1740.
