18th-Century Delft Plate with Manganese Floral Decoration
Tin-glazed earthenware plate produced in the Netherlands in the 18th century, painted in manganese pigment with a central rose and accompanying foliage. The rim carries a continuous repeating border of schematic tracery. The decoration follows the standard Delft format of a central motif framed by a border. The reverse is plain with tin glaze only and without marks, consistent with unmarked Delft faience of the period.
