Polychrome Dutch Delftware Figure of a Standing Goat

Naturalistically modelled as a standing goat with its bearded head turned slightly to the left. Its coat, facial features, curved horns and ears are outlined in manganese, while the animal stands on a grassy green mound above a tall, flared rectangular base. The compact figure combines careful observation with the decorative character typical of eighteenth-century Delft animal figures.
